When people talk about their skin, they typically worry the most about blemishes, wrinkles, and acne. And while those are perfectly normal things to worry about, not everyone knows how important our skin really is.  Here are some facts we find awesome:

Our skin makes up somewhere around 15 percent of our body weight. How crazy is that? When thinking about our overall health, it makes perfect sense as to why skincare is so critical.

Our skin is like a thermostat. Have you ever wondered why you sweat when you work out? It’s our body’s way of cooling us down and helping to keep our body temperature regulated. Cool, right? We think so!

Did you know dust is partially made up of dead skin cells? Yuck! But it’s entirely true. So, the next time you’re thinking about skipping the whole dusting part of your clean up regimen—think again!

Tons of bacteria live on our skin. EEEEE! But, it’s actually not all that bad. Some of the bacteria is good and can help fight off diseases. Another great reason to make sure we have great skincare routines.

Pimples are not necessarily caused by dirt. It’s definitely one of those misconceptions, but pimples can be caused by a variety of things—like hormones, medicines, and even makeup products.

We can see why taking good care of our skin is so important. It’s a fundamental element in regulating our overall health! We can’t think about one without the other. Health care and skincare go hand in hand. Have you checked out all the services and products we offer?  Take a look below:
